One thing that you might read or listen to may very well change your life, get into the habit of reading. Your getting new information from thought leaders in their field, let them be your coach, your mentor. Your Internal “Dashboard”

gary tremolada master coach leadership and developmentWhats your internal dashboard telling you?

When I coach clients that are attempting to get to the next level or simply get better where they are, I often ask them how do you know you need to make a change?  Are they moving toward something or moving away from something.

They reply is pretty much always the same, “something just isn’t right”, I thought I’d be further along than I am”, I thought I was doing a great job but the feedback completely blind sided me, there must be something wrong with me” and my favourite “it’s not me its them” .

My question to them is what were your internal indicators telling you? It’s typically followed by “what do you mean?”. Then they suddenly start using words like, I’m frustrated, unhappy, something feels wrong, I’m anxious, angry, depressed, dissatisfied etc When those feeling came into your awareness, something inside of you is telling you that something may need some examining or investigation.gary tremolada coaching and mentoring leadership and development

They are you “dashboard indicators”, happy, sad, indifferent those feeling tell you that something as changed or that something needs to change or something needs further investigation..

What are you dashboard indicators telling you today? Is it real or fiction.

What one action could you take?

Sales Success, 5 things you need to focuss on

I’m often get asked what makes a great sales person.

You could break them down into 5 parts.

1. Behaviour and Attitude, Behaviours of curiousness, genuine value adding and making a difference to the end-user. The attitude is one of “Can Do” and Commitment to add real value. No, is not answer. A more relevent response would be “how”.

3. Skill, Every single day do something that practices your skill set. Sit down with a colleague practice closes, questioning, saves, sales process etc. Make the mistakes in the practice sessions not in front of the customer. They deserve better than that and you deserve more success.

4. Action, get your own “Default Dairy” and condition yourself to take action daily, no excuses, every single day. Don’t suffer from moments of “I’m Fine” and I can do that tomorrow. You can’t get today back, it has to count.

Default Diary Example Only

5. Personal and Professional Development, most people have commutes read or listen to books in many different subjects. Start with sales and whatever you learnt in that session practice or try it on that same day. There are some statistic out there that record that most people when they finish high school barely read a  book every 5 years. coaching and mentoring gary tremolada

And you’ve got to get the Hustle On, you got to have “skin in the game”.

6 Hour Work day

Sweden introduces a SIX-HOUR working day in bid to reduce sick leave, boost efficiency and make staff happier

  • Government staff in Swedish city of Gothenburg to take part in trial
  • One department will work six hour days, while another will work seven
  • Two will be compared to see if shorter days improve efficiency
Staff in one government department in Sweden are to work six-hour days on full pay to see if it makes them happier than those working for seven hours

Hundreds of Swedish workers are trialling a six-hour working day in the hopes that it will cut sick leave and save the country money.

In an experiment, workers in one government department in Gothenburg are to be put on to six-hour days on full pay, while workers in another department will work a standard seven-hour day.

Mats Pilhem, Left Party deputy mayor of Gothenburg, hopes the six-hour staff will take fewer sick days, and have better physical and mental health as a result.

Speaking to The Local, he said: ‘We think it’s time to give this a real shot in Sweden.

‘We’ll compare the two afterwards and see how they differ. We hope to get the staff members taking fewer sick days and feeling better mentally and physically after they’ve worked shorter days.’

He claimed that a car manufacturer in the city had trialled the six-hour day with promising results.

He added that in other sectors, such as social care, the problem was not a lack of employees but people working inefficiently over the course of a long shift.

However, opposition politicians blasted the move as a cheap trick to win favour ahead of elections, and said the policy had be trialled before with no success.
